For last year’s Adult Swim sensation The Greatest Event in Television History, a 15-minute spoof that went viral, Adam Scott enlisted Mad Men’s Jon Hamm to help him re-create the opening credits of ’80s detective series Simon & Simon. Now, for the second Greatest Event, Scott is bringing along his Parks and Recreation costar Amy Poehler to take on Hart to Hart (the special airs June 6). Scott stars as millionaire amateur sleuth Jonathan Hart, while Poehler channels his glamorous wife, Jennifer.
“Literally every day since our first episode aired back in October, I have been inundated, nonstop, with people not asking for another one,” Scott says. “I applaud everyone for their restraint, and as a thank-you we bring you Episode 2.” Scott has a deal to make two more Greatest Event specials later this year — watch out, Hardcastle and McCormick!
